Rathbone No.3 - Englemann Spruce/Koa E/Cut
The Grand-Auditorium shape is the natural evolution of the Concert and Auditorium models. Larger in both lower width and overall depth, the Rathbone No.3 Grand-Auditorium is designed to deliver an extra serving of power from every direction.
This wonderful R3SKCE combines the greater size of the Grand Auditorium body shape and the breath-taking beauty of Koa to stunning effect. Clear, bright and sparkly in tone thanks to the Solid Spruce and Koa combination, this instrument is powerful and linear in its delivery. Ideal for strident strumming and well-articulated fingerstyle playing.
The perfect all-rounder, the No.3 has the same scale length as the Orchestra Model but body dimensions closer to a classic dreadnought. The larger body cavity naturally produces greater bass tones, but without sacrificing clarity, and that's the beauty of the Grand-Auditorium. However, a larger body does not mean an unwieldy instrument. Far from it, in fact. The beautiful curves around the waist of the Rathbone No.3 ensure the guitar will sit comfortably on a knee or hang perfectly from your shoulders.

Traditional aesthetics meet 21st Century technology.
The R5SM Rathbone Dreadnought 'Double Top' features a technologically advanced sound-table made of two super-thin layers of Spruce with a Carbon Fibre lattice in-between.
This ‘Double-Top’ construction enables the sound-table to be a little thinner than a single solid piece of spruce but remain strong and ultra-responsive. The result is a super-resonant and voluminous guitar with bags of both character and all-out power.

The larger, traditional dreadnought-sized body naturally enhances the low to mid frequencies and is therefore incredibly versatile. This powerhouse can be used in any musical environment delivering an ideal balance of volume, clarity and player-comfort.

Rathbone No.7 - Solid Sitka Spruce/Solid Mahogany
The RS7SM Rathbone No.7 Orchestra Model is an all-solid tonewood beauty that pairs a solid Sitka Spruce top with solid Mahogany back and sides for a much-loved traditional aesthetic and sound.
The OM body shape produces a naturally responsive and voluminous tone which is further enhanced through the use of a classic combination of all-solid Spruce and Mahogany tonewoods. You can expect a sweet and warm voice delivered with superb poise and balance.
So, if you’re a guitarist with an affection for a truly authentic acoustic sound paired with a timeless vibe, the RS7SM delivers both in equal measure.
Due to the environment in which it was initially designed to be used, the 'OM' was not a large-bodied guitar. In fact, few of the early 'modern' guitars would be considered large today. So, the 'OM-sized' Rathbone No.7 is not a large bodied guitar either, but the neck joins the body at the 14th fret, so the scale length is one that we would recognise from most modern guitars. When first used, this 'long' scale length was found to help deliver a remarkably, and some may say disproportionately, powerful and dynamic tone. The tuned strings are under greater tension than on shorter scale guitars, so they give a far greater tonal response and 'punch'.

Rathbone No.6 - Mahogany
The Rathbone No.6 captures the spirit of Rathbone Guitars perfectly with its time-honoured Parlour shape aesthetic matched with excellent playability and great sounding tonewoods.
The all-mahogany tonewoods of this R6M Parlour model exude a classy vibe and deliver a warm and mellow tone that performs especially well as an accompaniment instrument. It responds well to strumming and fingerpicking, occupying the midrange with balance and personality.
No.6 models are the first series in the Rathbone Guitars range to feature slotted headstocks. This headstock design increases the angle at which strings cross over the nut, thus increasing the downward tension which gives strings – particularly open strings - greater tonal clarity and note articulation.
Furthermore, as smaller bodied Parlour shaped guitars like the No.6 have a naturally delicate voice, the slotted headstock design works in harmony with the 12th fret neck join to deliver all-important tonal warmth, punch and dynamics… so not only will your Rathbone No.6 radiate a traditional Troubadour aesthetic, it’ll sound fantastic too!

Rathbone No.3 - Cedar/Ebony E/Cut
The Grand-Auditorium shape is the natural evolution of the Concert and Auditorium models. Larger in both lower width and overall depth, the Rathbone No.3 Grand-Auditorium is designed to deliver an extra serving of power from every direction.
Sometimes partnerships are just perfect, and that's certainly the case with the Rathbone R3CECE. The naturally warm aesthetic and tonal colouring of the Solid Cedar top is complemented by the brilliance and sparkle of the Ebony back and sides. Ebony is a real hardwood so delivers a bright and voluminous sound with a little more low-end punch... plus it looks just incredible.
Rathbone No.2 - Sitka Spruce/Mahogany Relic
The Rathbone No.2 uses a now classic 'Orchestra Model' body shape. This beautiful body shape is said to have been originally created in an attempt to lure members of dance orchestras away from their banjos, toward greater projection of the steel-stringed guitar.
The Rathbone R2VSM pairs a solid Sitka Spruce top with a Mahogany back and sides for a sweet, warm and mellow vocal tone.
The top features a burst finish that blends deep browns and reds with warm oranges, punctuated with a subtle relicing for a wonderfully mature and traditional aesthetic.
Due to the environment in which it was initially designed to be used, the 'OM' was not a large-bodied guitar. In fact, few of the early 'modern' guitars would be considered large today. So, the 'OM-sized' Rathbone No.2 is not a large bodied guitar either, but the neck joins the body at the 14th fret, so the scale length is one that we would recognise from most modern guitars. Rathbone No.2 - Cedar/Rosewood Electro
The Rathbone No.2 uses a now classic 'Orchestra Model' body shape. This beautiful body shape is said to have been originally created in an attempt to lure members of dance orchestras away from their banjos, toward greater projection of the steel-stringed guitar.
Equipped with a dynamic core, the Solid Cedar top of the R2CRE initiates a warm, mellow tone which is further enhanced by the Rosewood back and sides. Although the 'OM' body shape is usually tonally strongest in the mid-range, the use of Rosewood ensures a somewhat increased low-end response and high-mid sparkle.
The Rathbone No.2 uses a now classic 'Orchestra Model' body shape. This beautiful body shape is said to have been originally created in an attempt to lure members of dance orchestras away from their banjos, toward greater projection of the steel-stringed guitar.
A real powerhouse, this R2SB Orchestra Model uses a Solid Spruce top for tonal clarity, and highly-figured Bocote for the back and sides. The beautiful Bocote wood responds similarly to maple with superb linear projection and clarity.
When first used, this 'long' scale length was found to help deliver a remarkably, and some may say disproportionately, powerful and dynamic tone. The tuned strings are under greater tension than on shorter scale guitars, so they give a far greater tonal response and 'punch'.

Rathbone No.3 - Englemann Spruce/Bocote E/Cut 12 String
The Grand-Auditorium shape is the natural evolution of the Concert and Auditorium models. Larger in both lower width and overall depth, the Rathbone No.3 Grand-Auditorium is designed to deliver an extra serving of power from every direction.
Another remarkably good-looking instrument, the Rathbone R3SBCE12 combines Solid Spruce and highly figured Bocote wood. Similar in its nature to a maple guitar, this instrument is very powerful and offers the player superb projection, filling a room easily, whether strumming or fingerpicking.
The R3SBCE12 earns a special place in the Rathbone range of guitars as the very first Rathbone 12 string model, combining the qualities of a solid spruce and bocote body construction with the natural chime and charming transformative character of a 12 string acoustic.
