Varnish cleaner to remove dirt from fine string instruments. The W. E. Hill Varnish Cleaner recipe has been in use for over 100 years, aiding string restorers protect and conserve their instruments.

This Hill Varnish Cleaner is specially blended for the cleaning and restoring of traditional varnishes.

25ml volume per glass bottle.

To Apply

Shake well before each use. Apply a small amount of Vanish Cleaner to soft cloth. Work the cleaner into the body of the stringed instrument, gently lifting away dirt. Refrain from leaving excess liquid on the body – ensure that liquid applied to the body is worked until dry.

Small amount is required per application. Return safety cap to bottle after each use.

Newly formulated specifically to help clean, care for and conserve your fine stringed instruments and bows, W.E.Hill & Sons’ Conservation Wax is made using a unique blend of microcrystalline waxes and citrus oils.

Developed and manufactured in the UK, Hill Premium Conservation Wax has undergone an extensive testing programme that has shown to aid in the effective removal of rosin build-up and act as a gentle polishing agent without the need for petrochemical solvents. 

Conservation Wax is not abrasive and is perfectly transparent when applied. Apply gently with a soft cloth. Replace lid after use.

Supplied in a 50ml, resealable aluminium tin and housed in a premium display box.

To Apply
Apply wax to the wooden body of the instrument, working the wax with a microfibre cloth in small circles until transparent. Continue as necessary. In instances of wax sitting in grain, lift from grain with small soft brush and continue as normal. Replace lid after use.
