A laminated spruce top with laminated maple back and ribs gives resilient tone and strength for school use, while an ebonised hardwood fingerboard and pegs plus an aluminium alloy tailpiece with four integral fine-tuners make tuning and setup straightforward. Supplied as a complete outfit with steel strings, a Bulletwood bow and a shaped padded (Styrofoam) case, the instrument arrives with the bridge down so a teacher or local shop can set it for optimal action. Ideal for children roughly 8–9 years old starting violin studies.
